ALL ITEMS FOR DISPOSAL SHOULD BE PLACED AT CURBSIDE ON YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED COLLECTION DAY &

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING POLICIES . . .

           Items for pickup can be placed at the curb no earlier than the evening before your regularly scheduled collection day.

           Household Garbage – limited to three (3) bags or cans

Weighing no more than 35 pounds and no larger than 40 gallons. 

Additional bags or cans require stickers.

            Household garbage must be free of:

                        Paint Cans and

            Recyclable items such as newspapers, plastic/glass bottles, cardboard, textiles, or batteries.

           Bulk Items – Require stickers.  

                             Refer to the “Bulk/Trash Sticker Requirements” on the following page.

           Appliances  Items such as refrigerators, freezers, stoves, washers, dryers, or hot water heaters   

                                    require stickers. 

Please have the doors removed from refrigerators or freezers.

           Leaf SeasonBegins November 1st and ends December 31st (weather permitting).

                        During leaf season, leaves can be placed loose at curbside. 

Piles of leaves must be free of garden debris, branches, and grass clippings.

Loose leaves will not be picked up if they contain these items.

 Note:  Between January 1st and October 31st leaves must be put in bags or barrels for pick-up.

Loose leaves will not be picked up during this time frame.

 

           Grass Clippings & Garden Debris – are to be placed in bags, barrels, or cans.

                                    No clippings will be picked up loose.

           Brush & Branches – Should be placed in neat piles curbside; please do not block sidewalks.

           DUMPING OF ITEMS IS NOT PERMISSIBLE IN THE BOROUGH OF MANVILLE

 

  ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED

Masonry items such as concrete, brick, block, or stone.   Also dirt is not accepted.

            Hazardous waste such as motor oil, anti-freeze, full or partial paint or chemical containers.

            Car parts, tires, or batteries.

Debris or lumber from renovations or remodeling.

 

 

BULK TRASH STICKER REQUIREMENTS

 

Bulk Trash Stickers can be purchased for $2 each at the:

 

Borough Municipal Complex

325 North Main Street

      Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to  5 p.m.

 

Except on the:   Second & Fourth Mondays  - Municipal Complex is Open until 7 p.m.

Second & Fourth Fridays  -  Municipal Complex Closes at 2 p.m.

 

Sticker Requirements are as follows:

 

   8    Bathtub (porcelain), Freezer, Refrigerator                          

    6     Dresser, Dryer, Hot Water Heater, Sink (porcelain), Stove, Sofa Bed, Washer

      Air Conditioner (window unit), Bathtub (fiberglass), Carpet (10’x12’ section),

        Dishwasher, File Cabinet, Sofa, Stuffed Chair/Recliner, Swing Set 

        (disassembled)           

     3   Exercise Equipment, Gas grill (no tank), Kitchen table (disassembled),               

          Microwave, Single/Double Box Spring or Mattress, Sink (stainless),

          Toilet, TV (console)

        Coffee Table, End Table, Floor Lamp, Folding Table, Floor Unit

            Humidifier / Dehumidifier, Metal Awnings (4’ section), TV 

          (portable)                            

     1   Appliances (small), Bicycle, Chair (folding / wooden), Table Lamp

 

    Miscellaneous items such as children’s toys, small tools, etc.  will be accepted in a 25 pound  

            container or bag with one (1) sticker affixed.
