Snow Emergency Plan

-Roads are treated as soon as snow begins to accumulate.

-Plowing operation does not start until accumulation of 2-3 inches.

-Main arteries and emergency streets are done first.

-Two (2) passes are performed on each street during storm.

-Curb to curb snow plowing is performed once storm is over.

-Snow plowing guidelines are dependent upon nature of storm.

SNOW PLOWING

To properly snow plow streets from curb to curb, residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the street. Vehicles cannot be parked on designated Emergency Streets when they are snow covered. Failure to remove a vehicle from an Emergency Street will result in a traffic summons.

When curbing the streets it is unfortunate that snow gets in the end of a cleared driveway. This is unavoidable and it is suggested to residents that cleaning out the end of a driveway be done after streets are fully curbed. Residents are to refrain from putting snow into the streets; this is not permissible and creates a safety hazard.
