may be issued for    non-compliance.

 

 

If container is oversized it is unacceptable to deface it in any manner to attempt to make the container in compliance.

Recycling containers provided by the county are normally blue. 
If your recycling container is any other color or not issued from the county you are not exempt from this rule. 

Garbage in recycling containers will not only contaminate the bin but will also contaminate any future recyclables. These contaminated recyclables must then be disposed of in a land fill.

WARNING STICKERS
Weekly Municipal Waste

-Too Many Containers or Bags: Residents may only put out 3 bags or 3 cans of garbage per household per week

-Container or Bag Too Heavy: Container exceeds weight limit of 40 lbs or bags exceed weight limit of 35 lbs

-Inappropriate Container: Container might have a capacity higher than 45 gallons or labeled for recycling purposes 

-Contains Recyclable Materials: Garbage contains recyclables. Refer to Recycling to learn how to properly recycle 

-Contains Items Not Accepted: Garbage contains unacceptable items. Refer to list on Household Garbage page

 

Bulk Trash

-Insufficient Stickers: Bulk items, appliances, or extra bags of garbage do not have required amount of bulk stickers

-Item Not Accepted: Items not acceptable for regular municipal waste collection are also unacceptable for bulk pickup

 

Yard Waste

-Container or Bag Too Heavy: Containers or bags exceed weight limit of 35 lbs for Yard Waste

-Inappropriate Container: Items must be placed in biodegradable paper bags or open barrels or cans. No plastic bags

-Item Too Large: Branches & larger brush items must be cut to 4 feet in length

-Material Cannot Be Loose: Material must be placed in an appropriate container. Branches & smaller brush must be tied

-Items Not Accepted: Grass clippings will not be collected curbside. Refer to Yard Waste for more information 

 

Item(s) Placed Curbside Too Early

-Items cannot be placed curbside any earlier than 5 p.m. the evening before scheduled pickup date

 

Item(s) Out on Incorrect Pickup Day

-Items cannot be out on day it is not scheduled for pickup
