Manville Borough COVID19 Update
Greetings Manville Residents. I hope everyone is doing well and getting ready to enjoy the summer months ahead. I want to give a brief status report on the COVID-19 Pandemic in our Borough.
As of June 16th, we have gone twelve consecutive days without any additional COVID cases. On June 4th Governor Murphy ended the COVID Public Health Emergency for the State and the Local Emergency Declaration that was declared in Manville on March 19, 2020 was rescinded as of 12:00pm on June 15, 2021.
Vaccination rates have continued to climb, and vaccination sites are still available throughout Somerset County for ages 12 and older. We will be able to return to some normalcy without having to wear masks while shopping and out at restaurants. In-person meetings will be able to be held again for our Mayor and Council and the Manville School District will be back to full in-person learning in the fall. In closing, I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Safe July 4th.
